THE ACDP CONDEMNS THE HORRIFIC MURDERS OF SIX WOMEN IN EKURHULENI: WE DEMAND DECISIVE JUSTICE AND REBUILDING OF COMMUNITY SAFETY
The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) expresses its deepest sorrow, outrage, and unequivocal condemnation regarding the horrific discovery of six women's bodies in and around the Kempton Park, Rhodesfield, and Olifantsfontein areas of Ekurhuleni.
We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the grieving families, No child should be left motherless, and no family should have to endure the agony of losing a loved one to such horrific acts of violence.
A Crisis of Morality and Law Enforcement
The sanctity of human life is a core value, yet our women continue to live under the shadow of fear, terrorized in their own neighborhoods, parks, and daily routes. The brutal targeting and dumping of women in public spaces is not only a devastating blow to Ekurhuleni but a painful reminder of the ongoing national crisis of gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa.
While we acknowledge the deployment of a specialized SAPS task team to investigate these crime scenes, reactive warnings advising women to alter their routines or exercise caution are simply not enough. The law-abiding women of South Africa should not be forced into captivity by fear while criminals roam our streets freely.
The ACDP Calls For:
Uncompromising Police Action: We demand that the SAPS multidisciplinary task team act with total urgency and precision to apprehend those responsible and secure water-tight convictions.
Visible Policing & Municipal
Infrastructure: The City of Ekurhuleni must immediately address dark, unlit thoroughfares, clear overgrown open spaces along major corridors like the R21, and fix broken surveillance infrastructure.
Harsher Penalties for Violent Crimes:
The ACDP maintains its firm position that violent perpetrators and killers must face the full, unyielding force of the law, with life sentences meaning true life imprisonment without easy parole.
Restoration of Family & Moral Values:
Beyond policing, our society urgently requires a moral turning point. We must actively rebuild strong moral leadership in our homes and communities to eradicate the culture of violence against women and children.
We appeal to anyone with information— no matter how small—to come forward and assist law enforcement immediately.
Let us stand united in prayer, vigilance, and demanding justice for the victims and protection for our mothers, daughters, and sisters.
